Origins and attitudes
Horse originally from Germany. The breed derives from the heavy Frisian improved, from the beginning, by English and Anglo-Arab (French and Spanish) thoroughbreds. At the end of the 19th century the breed was fixed as it is today with the contribution of Cleveland-bay stallions. At the beginning of the twentieth century he was a powerful coachbuilder and an excellent military horse; then further bleeding with thoroughbred stallions made it a lighter horse suitable for all disciplines.
Saddle horse and light shooting, currently used in equestrian sports (good jumper, long-lived and early in learning).
