Origin, diffusion and economic characteristics
American breed of the State of Maryland, obtained in the 1930s by crossing Silver Gray, Dorking, Plymouth Rock and white Livorno chickens.
Good attitude as a meat producer, lesser as a laying hen (white shell eggs).
Morphological characteristics
The only variety with a white coat.
Head with simple five-pointed crest, straight in the male and slightly bent in the female.
Eye with red iris.
Wide abdomen and back. Short and yellow legs.
Medium weight:
