Type of protected area - Where it is located
Typology: State Biogenetic Nature Reserve; established with Ministerial Decree December 20, 1975; falls within the Belluno Dolomites National Park.
The Monte Pavione State Biogenetic Nature Reserve covers an area of 491 hectares, occupied by summit grasslands and mountain pine and green alder bush in the Municipality of Sovramonte (BL)

The Riseva affects the summit areas of Monte Pavione, characterized by the presence of grasslands, mountain pine and green alder bushes and interesting floristic settlements. The area is very popular with wildlife which finds abundant nourishment there.
